Seminar Objectives:
Explore the differences between net income + depreciation and actual business cash flow in providing messages and signals about borrowing causes, financing requirements, cash sources of debt service, and shifts in a borrower’s risk profile;
Review and manually construct both the modified Uniform Credit Analysis (UCA) and long form UCA cash flow statements and explore the impact on the resulting statements from differences in account classification decisions;
Examine and identify the messages in the UCA cash flow statement about borrowing causes, financing requirements, cash sources of financing, and shifts in risk profile and assess whether the messages confirm or refute messages provided by changes in key performance ratios;
Explore the cash impact of positive or negative income statement and balance sheet management by quantifying the cash impact of movements in EBITDA%, accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable days in properly identifying borrowing causes;
Address the dangers inherent in combining business cash flow with personal cash flow in developing support for marginal credits, assessing debt service prospects, and attempting to properly assess risk; and
Explore the analytical deficiencies in the information content of cash based business income tax returns and understand the necessity of complementing business income tax returns with accrual financial statements.
 
How to Order

Seminars are conducted at the client’s location.  The cost is the greater of a) a fixed fee that varies by client size or b) $300 per participant, plus instructor travel and lodging expenses.  All materials and the online post test are included in the seminar cost.
